dns4me is the brain child of our primary developer, Jason Kenah. While developing an open source digital signage solution he was testing the Amazon Fire TV set top box and was frustrated by the geo restrictions put in place by Amazon.
After building a basic unblocking system utilising HTTP/HTTPS proxy handshaking he discovered numerous services providing ways to unblock Netflix/Hulu Plus/Amazon Instant but none of them provided the flexibility that puts the user in control.
The service has now expanded to have DNS servers in Australia USA and NZ, Handshaking servers in the USA/Ireland/Brazil/Australia/UK/China/France/Japan/Switzerland and Canada, with plans to expand even further (India coming soon).
We believe we are the only geo-unblocking service that give the user the ability to redirect their own URL’s not to mention the ability to use the service in three locations at once.
